I use it for layered documents. I can't believe how well it works. Unparalleled.
I enjoyed every day I designed diagrams for my diploma thesis with it. Unlike the Visio users I know, I never got frustrated because something didn't work out.
I obtained a 3.x version and got the 4.x upgrade for free - nice.
Love the alpha channels. Visio can't touch this.
This is a fantastic tool. It beats Visio hands down and is very easy and intuitive to use.
