Painter's Picker

Version: 2.2 || Release Date: 2008-02-26 || License: Shareware (USD $19.95) Developer: Old Jewel Software

Painter's Picker puts an interactive color wheel in almost every Mac OS X application. It adds the ability to choose related colors, such as complementary colors, analogous colors, etc. directly within the color picker. It also adds more precise controls for choosing saturation, hue angle, and brightness. Painter's Picker is the simplest way to perform complex color selection in almost any Mac OS X application.

Combines a variety of functions into one palette: (1) color schemes (e.g. tetradic, analogous, 12-step wheel); (2) hex and rgb values for CSS; (3) transformations (cooler, warmer, more/less saturated, etc). Functionally similar to Color Schemer but available wherever the color picker can be used. See also Shades for a more limited "palette generator".

painter's picker is the fastest way for me to get the color I want. Except I just wish it was based on an HSL model, not HSV. Ah well.
