Cocoi, this doesn't actually do the password generating. It simply triggers a built-in OS feature; the point is that it provides easier access to that built-in feature.
It is worth mentioning that this is open source, because I am one of those people that check that kind of thing when you use a program that generates passwords.
The usefulness of this app may go unnoticed due to its simplicity. Even though it simply calls the built-in password assistant dialog, it keeps you from having to go through the Accounts preference pane to get to it. Anytime I register on a new website, I just call up PA, register with a random password, login once to save the password in my keychain, and then completely forget about it.
