The PHP Function Index (PHPfi) is a very fast documentation viewer to look up any PHP function.
Its search offers realtime-filtering of the function list and it downloads and caches the user contributed notes from PHP.NET for instant lookup.
Additionally its AppleScript interface lets you look up PHP functions easily from within your favorite editor

This is awesome! First off, it's great for the moments when you need to reach the PHP, working offline, as it saves the manual locally.
Secondly, it lets you bookmark your searches, for easy reviewing whenever you need to read it again!
Also, this app is integrated nicely within TextMate (and BBEdit for those who uses that, and by easy means, you can implement lookup from other editors as well).
Summarily, I find this extremely invalueable while trying to make friends with PHP. Oh, I forgot to mention that the licensing scheme is very generous. If you're not making any money out of your coding, it's free of charge.
