Actually it doesn't seem to always get the highest quality available, check this photo for instance: with piclens at 1440×900, the image is quite blurred when compared to the 853×1280 original.
(Make a screen capture as png to compare more easily. Then check the water drops.)
Where can it get such a good definition to browse flickr full screen (1440×900) when the photo you see on the web page is quite small (500×333)?
I tried zooming from 500 to 1440 with the lanczos algorithm but couldn't get such a nice quality...
PicLens HAS been updated for Safari 3. I love this app. It enables me to see full-screen images... even when the Flickr member has not allowed the "All sizes"/downloading privileges.
Opinions:
Version 1.6 and the download link are for PicLens for Firefox .
Piclens for Safari is here: http://osx.iusethis.com/app/piclensforsafari.
However, comments here relate to Piclens for Safari, there's some cleaning to be done... :)
The delay between photos is a bit short, it would be nice if it could be adjusted.

@dreamcore: iirc, the greased lightbox script isn't as nice, eg: it doesn't fade in/out, doesn't show thumbnails in an autohide banner at the bottom.

This is a fantastic plugin that always impresses my friends when I use it (even the non-geeks). Can't wait until it's updated for Safari 3.0!
I no longer use this due to crashing. It's cool when it works, though.
You can get similar functionality with Creammonkey + Greased Lightbox.
