PicLens for Safari
Think beyond the browser
PicLens instantly transforms your browser into a full-screen slideshow experience. With just one click, PicLens makes photos come to life via a cinematic presentation that goes beyond the confines of the traditional browser window. With PicLens, browsing and viewing images on the web will never be the same again.
Immerse Yourself.
Why mundanely flip through online photo galleries or squint at thumbnails from Google Image Search when you can sit back and get an immersive, full-screen experience instead? Come on and let yourself "be transported to a wonderful and magical world." (Review by Lifehacker)

3 Opinions:
Note: once Piclens has been launched, you can't use it to control iTunes anymore.
The only solution I found is to relaunch Safari.
What's funny is that the remote control doesn't seem to work to control Piclens...
(Piclens 1.8.0, Safari 3.1.2, Mac OS 10.4.11)
Edit: from the developers:
PicLens currently works on Safari 2.0 - 3.0.4 only, and does not yet support version 3.1. We are working on a significant update that will add many new features, including the highly lauded "3D Wall" enjoyed on our current Firefox version. Thank you for your support and patience!
Version 1.5.16 has been released in November 2007, and doesn't support the current version of Safari, 3.1.1.
An update to support the latest Safari would be really appreciated, even if there aren't any new features... :)
