Pipette is a handy utility for digital artists and web designers. It allows you to quickly and easily grab the colour of any pixel on the screen and copy it in hex format, as used in CSS files, or in most paint programs, such as Adobe Photoshop.
Pipette is a very easy to use, lightweight application - in keeping with Unix philosophy it does one thing and does it well.

arne, that's incorrect. Digital Color Meter can copy the values by going to Color->Copy Color As Text. The text copied depends on what kind of values you're displaying. So, for example, you have "RGB As Hex Value, 8-Bit" selected, Digital Color Meter will copy something like "#FFFFFF" (quotes included). Because of the quotes it probably isn't the most convenient copying and pasting, but it's possible.
The one including osx only shows the data, but its impossible to copy the values. This is very handy.
Saves me from taking a screenshot to photoshop to get hex values.
I don't see the advantage of this software compared to the one already in OSX ?
