This product seems to have been abandoned, and seems to be dependent on a Quicktime component that is no longer compatible in recent versions of Quicktime.

Podcast Maker is an outstanding app. After a quick server setup, it makes producing podcast episodes as easy as it can be. Additionally, it does enhanced podcasts letting you add images/text (via image) anywhere in the audio. I also like the podtrac integration (optional feature) which is a free service to monitor traffic. Once you have your mp3 it literally takes less than 2 minutes to add an episode and begin publishing. On a fast connection, you can add an episode in 3 minutes or so (with a 16 - 20 mb mp3).

Personally, this was the final straw to get me into podcasting. Lots of updates and wonderful Mac-loving user interface. I consider Podcast Maker essential.

Tried it, liked it, but discovered anyone who can edit HTML by hand has the skills to edit the resulting XML file by hand. The it offered conveinence alone, however, made me pull out my credit card, but I wasn't thrilled with how it went about storing its contents, nor that it required a lot of flipping around to edit stuff, so I put my credit card back and abandoned it. If it had been $19.95 instead of $29.95, they'd have a sale, even if it turned into shelfware. I suppose if I did a lot in volume, it'd be worth it. Try it. It's a nice product.
