I like postbox. Very useful are the features: the opening of mails in tabs and the posibility of tagging mails and summarizing of replys.

I'm liking the features in Postbox. Do notice there is a considerable slowness with loading when switching between different mail boxes or messages. If the speed increases it will be great

Postbox was always commercial. They recently released their prices: http://postbox-inc.com/?/blog/entry/postbox_beta_14_product_options_and_pricing/

Postbox is nice, and I did use it for quite a while. However, it's essentially just a handful of features bolted on to Thunderbird.

While free, that was fine, but I was very surprised when I received an email about pricing, as it now seems like they are trying to profit from Mozilla's work with as little coding as possible. This is why the LGPL/MPL for programs is often unwise.

Awesome app, bit sluggish, but already better on most points then Mail.app.
Mail.app for instance doesn't even have privacy protection for spamm with images!

PS: Great google mail imap integration :D Something Mail.app has trouble with too..

good effort, but yeh looks likes its based on mozilla (noticed from the import dialog)

On my thrice-cursed Vista 64 it's the only mail app that will continue to work and actually retrieve my mail for more than 5 minutes. I think it's much better than Thunderbird or Windows Mail but I would never dream of switching to it on my Macs. So until the Windows world comes out with something remotely as good as Mail, I'll be sticking with Postbox.

Looks promising but like Firefox and Thunderbird it doesn't use OS X context menus.

Even though a lot of it is "just Thunderbird", there are a couple of really nice features, like how it extracts and displays pictures and attachments of a whole thread. Will try it out for a bit more.

I tried this for a while and couldn't get on with it. Once you realize it's just thunderbird in disguise there's really nothing to use it for.
