Mac OS X does its own routine maintenance, however if the computer is turned off it may skip some of its routine scheduled maintenance. PseudoAnacron checks to see if any of these daily, weekly or monthly tasks have been skipped, by how long, and then runs them. Quite handy as a login item or an .app used when opened.
