I recommend you the ioquake3 version, is better than Id's: http://osx.iusethis.com/app/ioquake3arena

Imo the best arena shooter by far. Been playing Q3 for years on PCs and after my switch to OS X I'm continuing to play it on my beloved Mac. The Mac version looks and feels exactly the same. Now what we need is a good server browser for OS X. (Only Mortal sucks big time.)

Runs great on any mac, a real recommendation. Superb shooter, best Deathmatch game ever, in my opinion.
