This is NOT the version that was previously developed by Blacktree; this is the ongoing community effort, although the "homepage" link continues to lead to Blacktree's website for QS, the download link pulls from the GoogleCode website: http://blacktree-alchemy.googlecode.com .

Quicksilver is nice launcher applications and unlimited posibilities, BUT it eat so much memory and sometimes not stable.
The best combinations are use Spotlight and Quicksilver.

I use it a lot and still find it tremendously useful.
However, I'm still using β54 since the alphas have been very unstable and show weird behavior for me.

If you think Quicksilver is overrated then you don't know how to use it properly. Learn to type moderately fast and you too will see why QS is amazing.

Though, I will agree with you on the current stability issues; it could be a lot better. But even it its flaws, it still shines.

Most overrated mac app out there. launching apps from stackz (grid) in leopard is so much faster. Quicksilver also has major stability issues that should be fixed.

Hi, just to let you guys know; there are alpha releases being built at: http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-alchemy/ -- these are alphas, but to be honest, they work significantly better under Leopard, many many bugs are fixed. a3 needs manual hacking to get working, but it is worth it IMO.

just one thing to say... i feel handicapped on any mac which doesnt have this... and i mean, really handicapped... disable spotlight, forget those itunes controllers, forget menubar utilities, forget calc, forget image converter, forget anything... quicksilver ROCKS!

I have found that spotlight in Leopard works just as well for basic application launching
