QuietMBP is a workaround for a noise problem present in many Rev A MacBook Pros. The noise problem is caused by a power saving issue. QuietMBP keeps the CPU busy enough to keep the sound away.

I wish that Apple had simply fixed this problem for me like they said that they would when I mailed it to them. Thankfully, this app has been saving my sanity for the last three years.
