Rapid Evolution is a tool for DJs to maintain their music collection, perform bpm and key detection and either manually or automatically generate setlist/playlists.

Rapid Evolution is a tool for DJs to maintain their music collection, both file based and record based.

The software also has utilities that lets you perform BPM detection on your audio files and key detection on your files as well as using your sound input.

You can use it to edit and maintain meta data in your files, such as ID3 tags, and on top of that you can also add meta data about your tracks that Rapid Evolution will keep in it's own database, such as what songs are suggested to mix with each other.

You can generate playlists for a lot of other software, either manually by picking your songs one after the other, or automatically generate setlists using the meta data previously mentioned.

On top of this is the possibility to connect to the MixShare database which contains a lot of meta data generated by the users.

On my Macbook White, the latest version has some issue displaying properly when starting it.

It's quickly remedied by maximising and restoring it, though.
