I also love this app. Reallly the only cross-platform solution.

A note to the author: I tried to contact you about making a local to me (US) donation for a similar cause or what I took to be a similar cause (the local animal shelter) but I never received a respone from you. I made the donation anyway, since it is a cause I support. So be aware that people may have donated, and you may not have heard.

Either way I love the program, and I have donated to a similar, but local, cause.

This is the developer of RarMe. I'd like to firstly thank kapalama for his/her kind comments.

I'd also like to clarify why I stopped development of RarMe. It was, as kapalama mentioned, because there was only one donation despite over 20,000 downloads and generally very positive feedback. However, it was because nobody donated DESPITE the donations all going to charitable causes, not to myself. I never intended to profit from RarMe, but hoped that I could use my small app to encourage donations to help others.

RarMe is therefore dead. I'm currently working on a much improved, completely rewritten and redesigned RAR compression app, which should be hitting closed beta soon. It will be shareware, with a minimum of 50% of the registration fee going to charity. Feel free to email me if you want to be included in the beta.

Outstanding work here. The only solution to use WinRar on the Mac to do Splitting and Encrypting.

I'm sorry to hear the developer has gotten no donations to motivate him to continue this work, because all the other solution are broken and do not work.
