@brh , i think over the next couple years developers will slowly make everything 64bit, and i refuse to lower the performance of my computer just so a preference pane will open on the first click. eventually they'll release a 64bit operational version and everything will be dandy.
@flyersph9 , you're right - it is a mere annoyance… And it's bound to come up with more prefpanes than just this one… As all of the system prefpanes exist in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors, I'm not sure why it doesn't just default to the 32-bit System Preferences…
But, if you want to spare yourself the time of quitting & reloading System Preferences in 32-bit mode, just Get Info on System Preferences in the Applications folder, and tick the 'Run in 32-bit mode' box.
Works great in OSX Leopard, but in OSX Snow Leopard, when you click on the icon in the System Preferences, a message appears saying:
"To use the Razer Orochi preferences pane, System Preferences must quit and reopen."
It then closes and reopens as stated, but at the top (as in the screenshot I posted) it says (32-bit). Not a problem, just an annoyance.
