this is a must have!!! the 24" iMac is way too bright and will not dim enough down. Thank god for this application! I no longer have splitting headaches. Works great!
A few users are experiencing an issue with Shades 1.5 crashing when they upgrade.
The fix appears to be to delete your preferences file. You'll find it in your users folder under library/preferences/com.charcoaldesign.shades.plist

I love this! Even more after I found the background version. Best brightness controller out there. Now my girlfriend can sleep while I stay up...

Ew, not a dock app!
Works perfectly, but would be better if it didn't keep the icon in the dock when running.
