ShhMBP is a fix for the MacBook Pro whine issue using a StartupItem that loads a kernel extension which disables the C4 power mode on the CPU.

It is packaged in a standard Mac OS X installer to make installation easy.

Use at your own risk.

Please note that this program has not been updated for quite a while.

On Snow Leopard you have to use the following command in the Terminal to make it work:
sudo chown root:wheel /Library/StartupItems/ShhMBP

Works nicely on white Macbook2,1 (non-pro).
