Well, I love it. Exactly what I've been looking for. I'm using GMX's SMS service, and previously I always had to log in at their web site, see all the stupid ads and click three or four times before I could actually type a message. This widget even uses my phone number (registered with GMX's service) as sender.
Thank you Frank!!!
The mobile number feature is no big issue for me as I always use QuickSilver for number / email address retrieval anyway.
«not that great» is the address book integration:
Simsen just chooses the first mobile number entry including the desired name -- which might be totally wrong, so check that number, baby!
But apart from that, it is good, remembering the last (5 or so) recipients used.
If you want to check out an app later, or want to recommend it to your
friends, you can use our del.icio.us
integration by clicking the blue/black icon at the bottom.

Not that great but still the only way to send text messages through GMX on the mac.
