SlimServer can stream your music collection over the Internet to a software player such as Winamp or iTunes. Now you can easily listen at work to your music collection stored at home without moving files.
Apparently, there's a restriction on last.fm radios feature in version 7:
From last.fm blog:
"For the time being, we can only bring Last.fm radio to Squeezebox owners in the US, UK and Germany"
SlimServer can also submit your played tracks to last.fm, with the SqueezeScrobbler plugin.
To play last.fm radios with SlimServer 6.5 or older, use SlimServer LastFM Plugin.
Great for listening to your playlist away from home (if you have a net connection), but not recommended for broadcasting to multiple users. I'd suggest a Squeezebox to go along with this software.
5 Opinions:
Note: SqueezeCenter also runs on Synology NAS drives, to save some power usage and preserve your precious Mac's life:

Displaying and changing ratings is possible via plugins.
Also supports lots of formats: vorbis, flac, musepack, etc.
