I use SB to automate all backups. Daily archive of documents and weekly full disk backup in headless mode. iCal automatically reminds me to plug in the external drive. If I want full backup. I enter the admin password, if not I hit cancel in the authentication dialogue, the rest happens automatically. After the backup, SB disappears.
This is foolproof :-), and yes I paid up the $10. It is worth it IMO. Try for yourself.

This is a great program. I rely on it three times out of the week (to make my backups) BUT older users beware.... He is now charging $10.00 for Snow leopard support (2.5)... This seems a little outrageous to me for a minor point upgrade. That is almost 50% of the original price. I know the developer needs to make money but ding so on the back of paid users blows...
I hope he reconsiders....

It's a great little program. All the benefits of Time Machine, plus the ability to choose exactly what gets backed up. Definitely worth the money, especially if you don't have the space or inclination to back up your entire drive.

Backup for the rest of us! You do not have to be incredibly smart to use it. I found it to be very fast in comparison to alternatives I've used like Silverkeeper or SuperDuper!

Nothing exceptionally fancy about this program. It works and works very well. One button "sync" and you are all backed up.

Nice flexibility and interface done with a minimalist charm. The program doesn't set out to revolutionize backups, but it does do what it sets out to do: backup your system.

Features to backup your entire install would be valuable as this program seems to concentrate on your profile and not the entire system.
