Stay in touch with the social networks and services that matter to you

A beautiful application, designed to make it easy to stay in touch with the social networks and services that matter to you. From news on Digg, photos on Flickr, statuses and photos on Facebook and Twitter updates, to full Google Reader RSS syncing, Socialite keeps all your social networks in one convenient place.

This application has not been the same since the rebranding. Very disappointed in Real Mac Software.

i downloaded this and running it with twitter and facebook for about 3 hours now, no crashing yet... im using the hud mostly and have it as an icon - i paid for it so no ads.

I bought the eventbox when it was pre 1.0. it was great and had tons of potential. unfortunately since becoming socialite it has not exploited that potential and has become very unstable.

I currently have a meantime between failure of about an hour, I get it crashing in the double figures every day and despite having sent plenty of crash reports there has not been a single stability update that i've seen; just authentication change updates.

I've given it a good long chance but am finally having to say goodbye. Hope I can give it another go sometime in the future once they sort out the persistent crashing.

It's a nice app, but too buggy and resource intensive. I've switched my feeds to Fever and my social networks to TweetDeck.

I love Socialite, but I have found it it seems to be fairly resource heavy when updating, locking up my computer. I've had to switch back to Tweetie but hopefully there will be some improvements in the future.

For me this has become my daily dashboard for social media: google reader, facebook and twitter. The app is stable, clean and easy to navigate.

My wishlist for the future: an in app browser and free addition of other social networks.

DEMO version connects to the social apps listed in the description. (Digg, Flikr, Faceboook, Twitter, and Google Reader RSS).

POSITIVE THINGS
This app has a clean interface, and is easy to navigate. Runs without ads, and does not display adds that typically appear on Facebook (which I find GREAT, because those ads annoy me).

NEGATIVE THINGS
While it is convenient for all of the apps to be in one window, I have tried apps that also do this (freeware). Out of respect for the work of the developers of this app, you have to research and find those apps on your own).

Sad to say but since Realmac released the Beta Version it's not working at all. Tried to make it work since the release but keeps on crashing and loosing my Settings, it's ok since it's a beta but for now I had to switch to NetNewsWire for Feeds and take another look when it's out of beta (can't download Eventbox anymore :( ).

I got my EventBox as a giveaway from MacHeist and have used it to replace Twitterific. I think it's best in HUD mode, the standard window interface looks a little bland in comparison.

I read that EventBox has been purchased by Realmac Software. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it! Their other apps are very slick (LittleSnapper for example).

Since I have friends on various ones from Plurk to Twitter, I have to use either Ping.fm or hellotxt. Until an app comes out that directly supports either(preferably Ping.fm), I will just use Adium.
