This app is handy if spotlight won't do.
In the case of having to find files according to specific arguments (specific location, filetype, including, exluding, etc.)
A good addition to your Mac System you might want to check out.
Spotlight already provides these options. For simple search, use hotkeys Command-Space. To expand the simple search results and see more options, click Show All in Spotlight results.
To go directly to search with options, use hotkeys Option-Command-Space. This opens a search window in Finder. To see more options, click the + at right of search window toolbar.
To set different hotkeys, use Spotlight prefs in System Preferences.
I tried a few other Spotlight utilities and this is by far the best. An option-rich, but clean interface makes it a joy to use. I've used Spotlight a lot more because of this product.
