3 Opinions:
Little Snitch indicates it attempts to connect to voy26.voyeurweb.com
That's how it's free - it's Spyware :(
It wants to contact an external website. This is not as obvious as before (when it referred back to a known porn site - that voyuercam place) but still: The application "curl7103" wants to connect to 17.254.4.130 on TCP port 80 (http).
At the moment the source code to 17.254.4.130 just says "HolyMoly", so maybe they're just gauging the use of the app (using their web stats). Still, if they want to be an upstanding member of the Mac development community they should stop secretely trying to contact outside resources.
@felos
I use it for SomaFMing too. Very helpful, although occasionally it gets the ID3 tags wrong on the songs. Truthfully, I think that's SomaFM's issue though, not StreamRipperX's. Not sure, truthfully.
Very easy to use, very cool. I found it browsing around http://www.freesmug.org/ and was surprised it wasn't listed here. Absolutely awesome for me since I listen to SomaFM's DroneZone when going to sleep - I no longer have to scour P2P networks to find the songs I hear there.
