Surface is an innovative tool that lets you prototype Java 2D renderers in Javascript. The API is based on Graphics2D. Surface is free for non-commercial and educational work but some features require a serial key.

Surface exports PNG, JPEG and HTML and can draw PNG, JPEG and GIF per default. If you have QuickTime for Java installed, a built-in Darkstar importer extends this to Photoshop PSD, PDF, TIFF and whatever your QuickTime installation supports. Surface can also handle live video streams (no audio) from JMyron and QuickTime/VXP.
