4 Opinions:
The earlier comments are all well-taken, though I find the contextual menu speed hit barely noticeable (YMMV). I find TagBot essential for quick and painless tagging. I don't use TagBot for searches; it's a matter of the right tool for the right job. And yes, the developer is unresponsive (putting it politely), though the app is updated for OS compatibility. Highly recommended, faut de mieux.

Buyer beware!!!
Is anything happening with this app? I think there are some issues that makes me hesitate buying it.
- Speed... I've tested it extensively, to try and rule out any other option, but my conclusion is that TagBot makes opening the context menu a whole lot slower and glitchier. It takes about .3 - .5 sec longer to open it, with TagBot installed.
- Searches... I'm not so keen on buying two apps in order to do one thing; manage tags. Manage, to me, means tagging AND searching, they kind of belong together. I know, there is the sister app of TagBot, called Meta, by the same developer, but how nice it would be if they melt them together, into one fullfledged tagging/searching app. (On another note, I'm aware that you can dobule-click tags in TagBot, to commence a search for them, but what if I want to expand into more complex search criteria, such as thistag AND thattag, etc.)
All in all, TagBot is the most georgeous looking and well thought-out product, in terms of user interface and simplicity. Its context menu item, for adding/removing of tags, as well as the assignable hotkey, etc., are right on target!
But somehow, I'm not sure if TagBot reaches all the way, towards what I was looking for. That, and the increased sluggishness when opening my context menu, are my only two griefs. Lastly, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for this app, as it feels promising nevertheless.
Very nice for spotlight addicts.
