Version: 1.2.9 || Release Date: 2011-10-02 || License: GPL Developer: Ali Rantakari | App Owner: kopischke

Tagger is a small application for OS X that can be used for quickly adding arbitrary textual tags to files.

Tagger uses the OpenMeta system for saving tags, so the tags added with it will be readable (and editable) by all the other applications that support OpenMeta. It can tag files opened in the frontmost application, passed to it by drag and drop or by a command line invocation and will even tag contacts and web URLs.

The current version is 1.2.6.

ok I have to take one thing back: there is Mail integration. Just doesn't work on all mails (???)

I do love its "one shot" behavior.

Integration for some important applications (iCal, Mail,...) is missing. But that should be doable with Taggers applescript framework.

Looks nice and seems to work bombproof.
In combo with TagLists it's a tagging delight for everyone looking for a lightweight solution.

Tagit be gone ;)
