A tool for editing and searching MP3 / M4A (MP4) tags and artwork.

Tagr is an application for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) that helps you organize your MP3 / M4A (MP4) collection.

With Tagr you can easily edit information such as a song's artist, title, or album cover. Tagr also allows you to control the way your files are named.

Tagr features an integration with discogs.com which allows you to search for album information and artwork and apply it to your songs.

Very nice tool, BUT I'm desperately missing the following tags: Disc Number, Album Artist, and the Compilation Flag. If you could add those tags, you'd be my hero ;)

Also I found two bugs: when the extension has uppercase characters (like .Mp3) the files are not accepted. Also, slashes in filenames produce an error in renaming.

Thanks for this awesome tool!

The good: nice & clean UI, tagging is done with id3lib.
The bad: only support 5 tag fields (artist, album, genre, year and comment) and cover art, you cant customize most of the formats (like filenames format, or using id3v1 or v2).
Overall its well designed, but I guess mostly thought for developer's own use and not targeted to users in general, who may have a personal tagging scheme.

works very well. would love to see the full range of tags, though; now i still have to fill out track number, disc number, composer, album artist, etcetera in itunes.

until then - almost there.

One word. AWESOME!

I was loking for something like this. If you could only see all of the fields your music has (not only the ones that this software has), this would be the best application ever.

This works well, thanks.
