The Hit List

Version: 1.1.6 || Release Date: 2014-10-16 || License: Shareware (49.95) Developer: Karelia Software | App Owner: andykim

Forget what you need to do. With confidence.

The Hit List is a simple, yet sophisticated application to manage the daily chaos of your modern life. Based on the simple concept of making lists, The Hit List lets you plan, forget, then act when the time is right.

Your life is complicated enough as it is. The tool to manage your life shouldn't be. The Hit List keeps things simple by not forcing you to learn a system. It can be as simple as just keeping a list of things to do as you would on a piece of paper. However, if you do have a task management system such as Getting Things Done by David Allen, The Hit List is flexible enough to support you.

I used this when it was free, a handy list maker. I have since found this really simple free version which does everything I need it for:

$50 for THIS? Seriously? JOKE.

1.0 released as shareware and on App Store.
iPhone version pending review.
cloud sync is up.

Isn't it ironic. The best Getting Things Done app bar none for the Mac. And the developer just doesn't get it done. This app goes nowhere. I've been waiting years for anything to happen. This app will come bundled with Duke Nukem Forever.

Latest version is, released February 26, 2010, with only this change:
"Beta expiration extended to May 1st, 2011"

I got a reply from the developer yesterday, apparently it's still being worked on. I'm glad it's a fantastic app.

While functionality & usability are great, the author has pissed off many many users by failing to communicate.

"Your silence is a massive mistake and is making both your most loyal
devotees, as well as potential new customers, head for zee hills.
Newsflash: You are linking directly to this list and the THL Twitter
feed from the main THL website. Do you realize what people are seeing
when they click on either of those pretty links?! A community chock-
full of some of the most enthusiastic users you could ever ask for,
all leaving, talking about leaving and/or calling THL "abandonware" -
OR - a twitter feed that is bone dry. You must realize how that looks
to people?... "

Make that seven months now. Abandonware? That would suck.

hasn't seen an update in four months, no new blog posts....anyone know if this is still under development?

The Hit List rocks! I loved Remember the Milk until I came across this one and moved everything across, now I'm a happy THL user! Looking forward to the iPhone app :-)
