If Exposé is supposed to have made tabs redundant, why does Safari still support tabs? Why add tabs to iChat after the inception of Exposé?

Adding tabs and split/dual pane browsing makes Finder much more powerful. I find myself stepping into ForkLift less, though I still find I need it for many tasks… Disable the ugly icon, and you've got yourself one heck of a Finder! I would prefer 'system' tabs over Chrome tabs, but it seems a challenging task right now. I'm not all that bothered by it, personally, as I've been using Chrome anyway, but consistency is always good, especially on OS X.

Definitely a step in the right direction, though…

I would pay a pretty penny for this application if it included some of the window management features of FinderMinder (with the option to exclude dmg volumes, which FinderMinder annoyingly lacks). Please, please, consider adding this feature. It shouldn't be difficult, just a matter of modding DS_STORE files.

interesting but nothing so important that once it expires I'd bother paying for

one of my favorit mac programs! Lightweight and powerful.

- The Finder icon can be disabled (so you get your old icon back) in the settings tab
- The menu icon can be disabled, too
- The Chrome tabs actually integrate very well, check the screenshots
- It expires because it will be a paid application once out of alpha/beta.

of course the need is here. it's always around, somehow. and i dont think its only because of the historical approach of the norton commander.

yet, you don't want to install this at this point:

-it's making your finder icon ugly (gets ugly sunglasses)
-it's installing itself to the menu (which of course is crowded) with no real options
-you REALLY get google chromes tabs.
-if your finder is to show paths on top, totalfinder will only make you look at the first two stances of it
-it's alpha

- IT EXPIRES! (for whatever reason)

messed with mouse clicks, and made the whole OS lag. ran applescript to uninstall after a day.

Very cool concept though.
