TrailRunner 2.1 is still beta and uses a new diary model. If you go back to TrailRunner 2.0 after you have migrated your diary it will be empty.
But this is a) documented in the release notes and b) no problem as I keep your old diary save in an Archive folder. Read more here: http://trailrunnerx.com/en_blog

The donation for TrailRunner is 25 Euro. No other value. As I develop this application in my spare-time, this is the model I am forced to use as I can't give professional grade guarantees on deadlines and quality.

TrailRunner is one of the first outdoor oriented apps for Mac OS X. And the application is public since 2005. And I do not intend to stop the project anytime soon as the user base is such a wonderful community that keeps me motivated to improve and evolve. And while I write this, thanks to everyone using the app since day one or even day 1505!

Kinda okay, but lacking in reliability and usability, and I therefore find it hard to trust in the long term. I've lost all my data during updates at least once. I'd make a small donation towards the development, but the currently requested "donation" of 29 Eur ($36) is too high, and the associated start-up nag window with time delay effectively makes the donation a purchase price.

I have used it for a while. Somehow it manages to lose all my diary or runs recently. Trying to re-create them reminded me how the usability of the track/route drawing is pretty poor. Shame because the application has a lot of features, just that I thought it could be made much easier to use.

This really needs multithreading or some kind of optimization....with a year's worth of workout data -- which doesn't slow down Ascent or Garmin Training Center noticeably -- TrailRunner is crawling, beachballing for 30-40 seconds at a time, making the app practically unusable. I tried it about 6 mos. ago & had lots of performance issues....trying it again, it doesn't seem anything has really improved.

Used to work perfectly with my iPod Nano and now with my new Garmin ForeRunner 305 GPS on my Mac OS X computer. Found that http://www.macgps.de also links to TrailRunner.

Great work Berbie, fast support. Please never stop making TrailRunner even better…

Awesome app. Couldn't imagina to live without it. I use it every day to track my running sessions and discover new routes in my area. Great support as well. Thank you Berbie!

Great app, looks real sharp--I'm using it solo without the nikeplus or forerunner--works great.

Helped Berbie translate this app to Swedish, and got a registration code as thanks. Every serious runner should take a long look at this fantastic program! (Now it works together with the Nike+iPod kit.)
