As of 10.4.11 it's broke for me. but Clear dock isn't.

ClearDock + APE has worked for years on my machines without any compatibility issues at all. And it's universal, and it's free.

Transparent Dock will, if fact, change your triangles to a number of different colors. Are you pressing the Apply button after you select the color?

os2guy: Yes, Cleardock will and it's free too.

I like Transparent Dock but it won't change the color of the Triangles under the icons. I'd like them to be Crimson. I've tried selecting several colors but they remain black.

Is there any transparent or clear type dock app that will allow for the change of triangle colors?

Its a nice shareware well worth the small price, and the developer has been very friendly & responsive to emails.

Clear dock is in fact free but so is Transparent Dock. Paying the shareware fee of $8 (which I did) just gets rid of the nag screen when you launch the app. Once you set your dock preferences, you theoretically never have to launch the app again so you wouldn't see the nag screen. Also, paying the fee unlocks a few bonus features.

I've tried Unsanity products before and had terrible experiences with APE, which Clear Dock requires. I can't remember the exact details but plenty of odd behaviors cropped up soon after installing APE. Once I removed all of Unsanity's haxies and APE, my Mac experienced no more related issues.

ClearDock is free! Its an Unsanity product. search for it on google. same effect, no price :D
also, it has worked fine since i installed it way back when, no need to get a new version every OS X update. (as apparently you need with Transparent Dock)

I don't update OS X until Free Range Mac issues a compatible version. It's that important to me.
