Tribler is a social community that facilitates filesharing through a so called peer-to-peer (p2p) network. A p2p network is structural different to a server-computer structure, where every user downloads its files from one central server. Within p2p the user/downloader becomes also an uploader to the next user. In this way there is no central computer that provides every file to all users.

3 Opinions:
I think it's nothing but downright fair, letting us PPC & Tiger users get the upper hand when it comes to compability, for once. We're being discriminated every day now, by 10.5+/Intel restrictions. (On the other hand, I will retract this opinion in a few months, hopefully.)
This is not a universal binary, as misleadingly suggested on their webpage. Apparently, their idea of a "Mac PPC/Intel" app is a PPC app run on Rosetta.
This app was mentioned in a BBC news article.
