URLwell

Version: 1.2.1 || Release Date: 2006-09-10 || License: Freeware Developer: Enigmarelle Development

URLwell is a simple and unobtrusive menu extra that lets you drag and drop URLs onto its icon to store temporary bookmarks. Once you've visited a bookmark, it's automatically removed from the list.

It's great for those times when you come across a web page that looks like something you might want to take a look at, but you don't have time to do so at that given moment. It's easier and less cluttered than storing such short term bookmarks with your regular bookmarks.

I do not have the problem reported by ookwormbay7. When I start up my Mac, URLWell is one of the programs I have set to launch at login and it still does so. I first started using the app in Jaguar, and it has worked fine after I upgraded to Panther and then Tiger. I have Leopard installed but I haven't begun migrating to it yet.

doesn't mention the fact that if you restart the computer or log out, whatever urls you put into it disappear. so if you turn off the computer every day, this is not so useful if you are planning to save a url for tomorrow.

I have started to fill my menubar with junk, but this app will stay around. It works simply - tell the app whether you want new additions to show up at the TOP or the BOTTOM of the list, and how long to keep them after you've revisited them.
