Important Note: The refactored database sometimes takes a looong time (up to 12 minutes) to process on the first restart after the 2.5 upgrade. It’s especially noticeable if you have a large database, but will only happen once.

YouTube made a few technical changes (a day or two ago) that affect Miro𠏋 ability to access the videos. Fixed.

Miro now logs os.system and os.machine on startup--this will help make it easier to know more about a user's system from the log.

• Reworked thumbnail generation on Windows to prevent failures from crashing the main application.

• On Windows, Miro will now generate thumbnails for any file that you download or add to your library. If a channel already provides a thumbnail for a video, Miro will show that instead.
• Compatibility with OSX Leopard and Ubuntu Gutsy.
• Miro now shows the channel icon instead of the generic video icon each video in a channel.
• Miro will now remeber in-channel search terms, when you leave the channel or return from a playing video.
• Miro now has the ability to add alternate channel guides and initiate individual video downloads with a 1-click button.

This release fixes upgrade problems that some users had experienced– if you were waiting to upgrade, wait no more. The release also fixes a couple Windows bugs (when maximizing on Vista and with multiple monitors on XP) and it fixes a startup problem when your language is set to German.
