Changes in 2.1 include:
  • Positive change values are now (optionally) displayed in green.
  • The Performance report now includes an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) column.
  • The "Realized" view can optionally display a "Gain/Loss %" column.
  • Added "Add to >", "Show in >" and "Remove from >" sub-menus to the instrument context-menu.

  • Yahoo! Finance no longer have distinct data download servers for Europe. Therefore, there is now only one quote feed option for Yahoo! Finance. As a side effect, this unfortunately also means that security lookups by ISIN is a thing of the past. This only worked with the European server which are now redirected to the US servers.
  • The historical quotes panel is no longer a transparent HUD panel. This change was necessary to comply the conditions of Apple's App Store.
  • The backup folder is now automatically sanitized. Automatic backups older than two months are automatically deleted.
  • Special characters from Yahoo! Finance and Google Finance are now correctly decoded.
  • Bug fix: The portfolio charts would under certain circumstances be incorrect for portfolio folders.
  • Bug fix: Fixed a regression bug that would make Investoscope complain when reverting to a backed up database.

  • Unrealized gain/loss calculation may now be based on the current bid price rather than the latest trade price. The default is still to use the latest trade price, but you can change that in the portfolio pane of the preferences.

  • Portfolios may now be organized into folders. Please note that we do not support mixed currencies in portfolio folders. All portfolios in a folder must have the same currency.
  • Transactions can now be moved between portfolios using drag & drop. Please note that you cannot move transactions between portfolios of different currencies.
  • Investoscope will now display a crash reporter when restarted after a crash. Hopefully you'll never see this, but if you do, please use it to report the crash.
  • Improved responsiveness during quote updates. Also, fixed an issue that could cause serious performance degradation on Tiger.
