New Functions
- The control panels in the inspector can now be displayed in different sizes. The size can be defined either in the Preferences (Tab "General") or by right clicking an empty space in the inspector.
- With the help of the "Publish" dialogue box, accessed via the "File" menu, it is possible to transfer specific data from Merlin 2 to Billings 2.5. Different options can be selected for the further use of data in this dialogue box.
- A new report is available with this version. The "Information Report" has been primarily created for the output of additional information (text). To test this report, it should be used in combination with the project template "Client Website," which is also new in this version.
- Using the context menu in the Element list, it is now possible to select the associated object.
- Links between activities can now be easily edited using the symbol, located in the feature bar. A mouse click creates a Finish to Start link, holding the mouse down displays a context menu.
Changes
- The settings for the iCal synchronization has been removed from the Project Settings window. It is now located in the menu "File - Publish."
- The export of MS Project via XML and MPX files has been optimized. Generally, using the XML format for data exchange is recommended.
- The import of Merlin 1 files has been optimized.
- The Apple Help for the Merlin manual, located in menu "Help," has been updated.
- For a better usability the layout of certain pages in the inspector have been optimized.
- By demand, tooltips in the inspector have been deactivated.
- Risks with a probability of 0%, are now listed in the "Classic Report."
Resolved Issues
- When printing, under certain circumstances, the Gantt chart was truncated on the right.
- The command "Remove All Assignments" did not work with combined projects.
- The resource initials were not displayed in the Gantt chart of combined projects.
- After activities were separated, the resulting project always showed a conflict.
- Under certain circumstances it was not possible to delete partial or complete entries in the Library.
- User defined columns in the outline were not printed.
- A search inquiry could be saved without a name.
- A few non-working links were found in the Apple Help for the Merlin manual.
- Under certain circumstances it was not possible to save a project after a resource calendar was modified.
- In individual cases a project could not be opened after an error in Spotlight.
- The assigned resources column was not immediately updated after editing.
- Texts with multiple rows were not displayed correctly in the print preview.
- When validating the margins in the print preview, the extra margins of certain printers were not considered.
- When new risk groups were created in the project settings lists, they were not immediately displayed.
- In certain positions the MS XML export contained planned values instead of expected values.
- The Lead/Lag was missing in MS XML exports.
- In individual cases the workspaces could not be accessed.
