PlugSuit
Licence: Freeware
- Version 1.5.6b1 | Release Date: 2008-11-15 | Download
PlugSuit 1.5.6 beta 1 includes the following:
- Efficiency bug fixes reduce the amount of memory required by extenders.
- Deferred loading reduces the impact of extenders when the system is under heavy load.
- Installation can now detect some sources of common incompatibility and warn the user before install.
- Improper alerts have been reduced.
- More Cocoa applications are now compatible with PlugSuit.
- Version 1.5.5 | Release Date: 2008-05-25 | Download
- Improved compatibility with SIMBL extenders.
- (Not really a feature, but: new ∞labs web site!)
- Version 1.5.4 | Release Date: 2008-04-23 | Download
Version 1.5.4:
- Includes a workaround for a bug that made PlugSuit stop working if it was left running for an extended period of time.
- Includes UI refinements to the preference pane and Installer application.
- Fixes a problem where a bundled plug-in, if any, wasn’t removed when the Installer application was used to remove PlugSuit. This could mean that, if an alternative plug-in manager was also installed, the plug-in would continue being used. The Installer now also removes the plug-in. (This affected removing Afloat.)
- Version 1.5.3 | Release Date: 2008-03-31 | Download
- Release 2 includes the updated installer that ships with Afloat 2.0 Release 2. See Afloat 2.0r2's release notes for details.
- Fixes many problems with installing and removing plug-ins through the preference pane.
- Some user interface and localization refinements.
- Supports Afloat 2.0. The Afloat 2.0 download includes PlugSuit 1.5.3.
- The PlugSuit Installer can install a bundled plug-in along with PlugSuit now. To create an installer for your SIMBL-style plug-in, place the plug-in (and no other file) in the Installer's Contents/Plugins folder. The name, version and icon for the plug-in will be extracted from your bundle (display name, CFBundleShortVersionString and Finder icon respectively). If a plug-in with the same name exists when the Install button is clicked, it will be moved to the Trash. The Installer does not support InputManager-style plug-ins and using this feature with plug-ins other than Afloat is considered experimental for now.
- Version 1.5.2 | Release Date: 2008-02-13 | Download
- Application authors can now mark an application that may have problems with loading plug-ins. PlugSuit will avoid loading plug-ins in that application.
- Version 1.5.1 | Release Date: 2008-02-07 | Download
- Vastly improved stability, removes an error that could be mistakenly displayed when trying to install InputManager-style plug-ins. (See the release notes at PlugSuit's home page for more information.)
