What's New in Version 1.2

*** Introducing the Hotbox ***
You know what a hotkey is, a key combination to open a view or perform some other activity.
You know what a hot corner is, like a hotkey, move the mouse into a corner of the screen to perform an activity.

Now, Goiser introduces the Hotbox!
The hotbox is a sizeable and moveable area of the screen that acts exactly like a hot corner - only it doesn't need to be in the corner - it can be any where you want it (including a screen corner).

- Put it in a corner of the screen. This way, it acts exactly like a hot corner. It can even work in conjunction with a hot corner.

- Put it in the middle or across an edge of the screen. Almost as good as a hot corner - you could call it a hot edge!

*** Introducing Auto HUD ***
Auto HUD will automatically open the HUD if your computer has been idle for a specified amount of time.

As an example, if you don't use your computer for longer than the idle time, and start using it (for example, first thing in the morning), the HUD will automatically open, allowing you to see what's coming up, so you can easily plan and adjust to what you have to do.

I need to be reminded of things happening in my life. Part of my trouble is that I don’t check my calendars to see what I need to do. When I return to my computer and start using it, the HUD pops up showing my upcoming events so I know what I need to do!

*** Introducing Wave-away ***
The HUD will close with the close box, or the ESC key, but they can be inconvenient if you want to quickly get on with your work and you don't want to see the HUD. To help with this, Goiser has introduced "wave-away".

When the HUD is displayed, simply quickly move the mouse into the window, then out again and the HUD will close.

*** Changes ***
* Some rearranging of the preferences because of the new settings for the HUD.

* The hidden setting is now separate so you can have a hidden desktop or normal window.

* The to do's cycle time can now be set to 0 which will stop cycling.

*** Fixes ***
There have been various bug fixes and changes to make the app work better and smoother.

Please note that these new features might have some teething problems. Please contact me if you find any. If they don't work for you, you can turn them off.

If you think they are useful or could be improved, I would love to hear from you!

All the best,

Version 1.1.5 | Release Date: 2011-07-29 | Download

What's New in Version 1.1.5

• Exposé becomes a HUD window.
Changing to a Heads Up Display has several advantages because it better matches a) the idea of bringing information to you in a place and size you want/expect, b) with the Mac OS look-and-feel, c) a feature I have been wanting to add for a long time (more to come later).

• You can now directly change the size and location of the special and todo lists in any view.

• If you have an external monitor, you can set TimeWorks to appear on it, and it will appear there even when you are displaying a fullscreen window (but not in the Dashboard). (Do this by specifying a display number greater than 0 in the "On the Desktop box in the Window tab in the preferences.)

Bugs Addressed:
• Desktop window inset preference not being remembered.
• Running in 10.7.
