VLC
For DivX, VCD, DVD, MPEG, AVI, FLV, WAV, WMV, OGG.
VLC (initially VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats, including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, MP3, and OGG, as well as for DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It also can be used as a server for unicast or multicast streams in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network. The most prominent additions to version 0.8.6 are probably Windows Media Video 9 and Flash Video. Other important changes are improved H.264 decoding, better Windows Unicode support, and a full-screen.

amazing. can't imaging my life without this app. The export wizard could have been made simpler though. Maybe a quick mode would do the trick.
Decent, but lacks multiple video windows.
Therefore I prefer niceplayer now.
There's a 64bit specific version - just tried it but found it tops out the CPU for the first 10 sec of video before settling to 9% of CPU.
Are we supposed to post beta versions here or just stable releases? According to the site the latest version is 9.9.
I suggest to change the icons to the ones in macrabbit.com/goodies/
They look way better, at least IMHO.
Hope it makes your eyes healthier :) ,
need to update download link. Use: http://www.videolan.org/mirror-geo.php?file=vlc/0.9.9a/macosx/vlc-0.9.9a.dmg
Tried EVERY Mac OS X player and let me say MOVIST is the best by far.
I recommend you to have MOVIST, VLC and QuickTime (with perian).
Best video app out there by far. A nicer UI wouldn't go a miss though.
0.9.2 and 0.9.3 still slow and choppy for me on Intel Mac. Going back to 0.8.6 since the Mac version already had the fullscreen controls builtin (which would be a reason for me to upgrade on Windows).
Nevertheless, great app.
