I like this idea. I could never get Visor to work the way I wanted and a terrm on the Dashboard is the second best approach in my opinion.

Um, couldn't that logic be applied for anything on the dashboard? Does the dashboard need a dictionary, calculator, notepad, translation service, unit convertor, flight tracker, iTunes controller, etc? A command line makes just as much sense as any of those to me and may even be a little more useful in my day to day computing.
