Out of all the Mac IRC clients, this one is easily the most functional. All of the standard IRC fare is there in an interface that makes sense for veterans of the protocol. All of the other IRC clients out there, for OS X, feel crippled in one way or another.

First I tried X-Chat X11 which couldn't even connect. Then X-Chat aqua for a little bit. It's halfway decent but pales in comparison to Colloquy. Only really useful if you are a hardcore IRC... er.

XChat is clean, professional looking for an office environment, and the latest version is rock solid in 10.4.8 so far.
