This program may look a bit more like other Mac applications, but for those wanting a free alternative to Total Commander/Midnight Commander/Krusader, I suggest that you look for muCommander, which has more features including FTP support. However, this is also a viable alternative for those who don't need the extras or who are having problems running Java-based programs.

For FTP you could use MacFuse / MacFusion (mounts FTP /SFTP as normal volumes). In the same category I'd recommend ForkLift.

Interesting for people who miss Total Commander (Windows only) for the Mac. Unfortunately no FTP support, this make it worthless for me.
