I really wish the ruler could interactively go below 58px. Maybe the numeric indicator could just flip outside of the ruler?

Comes in handy when you need it! It's not an everyday app for me, but when I need a tool that it provides it takes care of business and gets outta the way.

I use the loupe tool constantly, especially to sample colours. The guides and rulers are also extremely handy for pixel-precision work.
