Version: 1.9.4 || Release Date: 2013-10-17 || License: Shareware (14.95) App Owner: n0c

Xslimmer reduces the disk space taken up by Universal Binary applications preserving just the Intel or PowerPC version.

Xslimmer is a new and user-friendly way to size down your Universal Binary apps, without losing any of their functionality by removing the code inside the Universal Binaries that does not fit with your machine's architecture, a code that never gets executed and just wastes your disk space.

In addition, Xslimmer can strip out unneeded languages. Safari is available in more than a dozen languages, Adium in more than 20. This is great, but how many of those do you need? Xslimmer allows you to select how many languages you want to preserve in your apps and will remove the rest, recovering lots of precious free space from your disk.

Now fully Leopard compatible!

Heh...I've never had any issues with either app...

If you want to screw up your mac then it's a good choice, used it before and some apps crashed or functionality errors. I love Xslimmer because it have a blacklist system so you don't slim apps that will not function right. I paid for it and I'm loving it!

Same apps for free: Trim the Fat and Monolingual

Excellent, just used it on my MacBook Pro, cleaned 4GB of files!
A lil bit slow but i guess it is because i have many apps and because i backuped all removed files using its settings on an external drive "just in case"... :)

My machine is only two weeks old and I just cleared more than 2gb from it.

Does exactly what it says, and does that very fast and without any hassle for the user. I had no problems whatsoever. A pure delight and worth every penny, especially for me on a MacBook Pro with limited harddrive space.

Groxx: You ever noticed each update for Itunes is 250mb? It all goes into bloating that program. If you download like 4 or 5 of them, unpacked and installed it ends up making itunes 1gb, which it doesnt need to be. Programs like this remove old versions, unnecessary files, and trim seldom used ones.

This app cleared up 2.3 GB on my hard drive! Works like magic.

I got it as part of the most recent Macheist, but it'd be well worth $12 if you're on the fence about purchasing.

Add me to the happy user list. 2.06 GB free'd up for me.
