Zattoo Universal Binary

Version: 3.3.1 Beta || Release Date: 2008-11-15 || License: Commercial with demo ($0 - 10)

Zattoo is a proprietary peer-to-peer Internet Protocol Television system ("P2PTV") with current focus on European channels. The service is available only in some European countries. Zattoo detects your country by your computer’s IP address, so you cannot choose which set of channels you want to watch, you only get the channels that are defined for your country.

Note that the service may not be free everywhere (e.g. Spain) and not all services are free (e.g. "HD" TV).

read the description:
"Note that the service may not be free everywhere"

the programm itself is free and freeware. But wether you have to pay something or not is a matter of your local laws and fees (I don't think, that we will have it 4 free in Austria). If the Zattoo-folks wouldn't respect them, I
guess they would be sued an down in no time.

It's only need to send sms in Spain, where Zattoo started and where is more expanded.

No need to send sms for me.
Works fine, but there is no 3.2.5 on zatoo.com, only 3.2.4...

Works fine for me without needing to send sms.

As of today, you have to pay by SMS to be able to use the program. I don't think it should be listed as a freeware program anymore.

Works very well. Yes the video quality is not perfect, but no other program offers live TV streams in good quality anyway. It is somewhat disappointing to realize that the Swiss have way more German stations than the Germans though. I hope there will be more non-German channels as well, actually I am basically only watching the English News channels right now.

Was good when launched in Spain, one week after is very slow, I guess due to it's massive use. Really cool app

i set up it in spain and i get only: la primera, la dos, cuatro, tele5, la sexta, the i get DWtv( german), france 24 in english, SFinfo in german and TvPolonia, i can see some DVB-T channels like: Canal 24H and TeleDeporte from la primera. A nice app. but the video quality is not the best.
