iDefrag rocks! I've been a happy customer for quite a while now.
I initially believed that defragging wasn't necessary in OS X, but then needed a way to run Boot Camp Assistant on a heavily used drive and found it wouldn't split up the drive because it was too heavily fragmented. A quick search on google pointed me towards iDefrag to solve the problem and since then I've included a defrag in my monthly/quarterly macbook maintenance. The speed boost is definitely noticeable, even with a 7200rpm drive.
