Comment on Macromedia Freehand MX

A professional drawing/vector and page layout program that is amazingly intuitive, extremely fast, and easy to use in comparison to its competitor, Illustrator. It's features were so advanced in 2004 that Adobe uses them NOW in Illustrator CS3, 4, and 5. Perspective tool, Blob brush, Draw/Paste Inside, Multiple Pages, and more originated in Macromedia FreeHand MX, first.

FreeHand creates vector graphics for professional illustration, desktop publishing, and content creation for the Web. And because of FreeHand’s page layout and text control features, it compares to Adobe InDesign and QuarkXPress by creating multiple pages with linked text and advanced editing. This 20 year old software should never have been acquired by Adobe and had its development discontinued. Thankfully there is a vast number of FreeHand users around the world and as the previous post said, an organization exists to let FreeHand have a future: Sign up as a member if you "Use This."
