I've been using this for a while now, and the only deficiency I've encountered has been the lack of sort options for the task list. New tasks appear at the bottom of the list, with no way to sort by priority, due date, etc. I'd prefer it to respect the sort order used in iCal, but it doesn't. For now, I'm running both Anxiety & TODO, another minimalist task list that runs in Dashboard, until I decide which app works best for me.

This is Leopard-only for those that didn't read the top description.

Man, this thing needs two key-commands: bring to front, and add new action. Also, need to be able to right-click to edit tasks in-line, without resorting to iCal.

Otherwise, minimalistic, clean and beautiful. I like.

I want to love it, but unfortunately find it unusable. I need to be able to manually sort items, so if I have a list of 10 things I can drag the order around (see SimpleTodo2). At least allow the sorting options in iCal (by priority, etc). Also, editing directly in the app is needed. Switching back to iCal is kludgey.

Had to go to the Support page to find out the software is in "extended private beta." Why put a download button on the homepage if the general public can't actually download the product?

I, for one, am becoming a little annoyed by all of the invite only beta applications being listed here. Maybe they can be given a special tag or something? It's often a waste of time trying to try out new software only to find out you can't use it anyway. I think Flow looks nice but can't say much more since I can't actually use it...

Hi all, developer of Flow here.

I actually didn't put Flow on iusethis, someone else did. I was waiting until Flow 1.0 was available to post it on iusethis, so I only found my way here from a referrer in my webstats. I attempted to "claim" this entry as my own (sidebar, right), but the original poster hasn't accepted that yet.

Once I do get ownership confirmed of it, I'll try to make it more clear that this is in private beta, and not for the public yet.

My personal apologies for any annoyance this caused.

So, before I'm modded down as a troll (-2 so far - apparently others don't seem to have a problem with private beta apps. being listed here) I want to clarify that I understand the need for private betas. I am participating in several myself. I was just complaining that they shouldn't really be listed on iusethis because I assumed it is a place to learn and try out software.

applejustworks - I look forward to trying out Flow when it is out of private beta. The screenshots look great!

People post private beta apps for the same reason people post apps like "Spotlight", or "Finder" - because it gives them an ego boost to admin apps that either everyone uses without a thought, or apps that only a select few can use.

Mod me down if you wish...

Well, since you are here, why not give all of us an invite to try out Flow?
We could help you out!

I tried it and liked it a lot. In fact, I'm considering switching to it from Transmit. t is really complex to make software this simple.

applejustworks:
I don't know if Flow do it already, but if you make for this app the same Transmit/Textmate thing....that'll be awesome.

@ark

If by Transmit/TextMate you mean has support for external editors, it most certainly already does have that ;-)

I really like the look of Flow but I just can't use an FTP app that doesn't have the two column view...any plans to add that?

As for my buried comment below:

iusethis has a naughty habit of sometimes squashing url links posted in comments (especially if they're encapsulated in href tags).

But the point I was trying to make, was that there's another app in the horizon, called Flow.

Not that I'd personally care too much about it, seeing that they seem to serve different purposes, but at least I thought I'd post a lil heads-up about it, for anyone who might be concerned.

So here's another try, hoping iusethis will keep this url intact in this comment:

@bitnix

iusethis is mangling your links because it uses Textile. You may want to read this page so you can produce properly formatted links.

@bitnix

Yeah, when GridIron's Flow was introduced, I sent them an e-mail informing them about the name conflict. The markets don't really overlap all that much, so neither Steve (GridIron) or myself are all that worried.

Best,
Brian (Extendmac).

Nice interface, but not nearly enough content. I use Miro (formerly Democracy) now instead.
