Yeah, we all know that it's possible to use a bookmarklet. It's also rather tedious. With the widget you don't lose the page you're bookmarking, so you can switch between the windows to copy text for the description. However, nothing beats the Firefox plugin where you can just select a text block which it automagically uses for the description.
Geira: On the other hand, though, finishing posting a bookmark on del.icio.us will bring you back where you were.
@bitnix: Yeah, which is a pain when making a bookmarklet that opens a new window for editing the post; then you're left with two windows with the same page. I find the auto-closing Facebook Share bookmarklet much more elegant.

Don’t want to download, install and start another application?
So - why not click through the package?

Comment and replies on iChat:
I have some friends who own Macs and a lot of friends using Windows. To chat to both parties it looks like Adium is doing a better job. And if i need a quick video conference I'm using Skype.
Sorry apple, nice try but I really don't need that application.
I'll use it when it has support for msn. alright micro$oft is bad for you, but all my friends use it and I've always used it and I cannot make them change
You can use iChat with MSN. Read matt0ne's comment.
Comment and replies on Toast Titanium:
Hm, maybe I'm missing something here but why do I need an extra application? Isn't the ability to burn CDs and DVDs already built in to Mac OS X?
I'm using Finder to burn a data CD/DVD, iTunes for Music CDs and iDVD for my movies.
After someone please answers that question (no flamings please), you may rate this note as spam...
antu: In short, there is more than one way to burn data. Toast knows about them all.
And that's just one reason.
I use Burn / Brand instead. About the same burning fuctionality. Much more simple interface.
Expensive but great. Used Burn for a while, but it doesn't do nearly as many things as Toast. I bought it when I had to shrink DVDs.
I'm still running Toast 7. When I bought it, it was the only application that supported my external burner. The price is steep, the feature set is limited. But I use Toast almost daily. It's a universal tool: burn disks from images, create images, create DVDs from EyeTV recordings, create ISO disks for universal acces on all platforms, ... Toast 7 just works. Nothing fancy, but useful.
Unfortunately I get the dreaded hardware error on lead-outs on all my DL media using either my MBP internal or my LG external DVD-R drive...Disco doesn't burns them just fine
Comment and replies on Address Book:
I like this address book and I like that it can be extended using plugins. But I still miss the ability to add more user-defined fields e.g. in the instant messenger aerea.
Address Book is especially great for freelancers and others who work from home and need to print labels in order to send out a mass mailing.
Comment and replies on iCal:
iCal is THE starting point for all my other calendars. I upload some of my iCal calendars to google calendar and from there I synchronize with my friends (not all of them own a Mac) and with my company.
I'm very pleased to see that iCal uses existing standards.

You don't need an extra application for that, just add the following snippet to your bookmarks:
javascript:location.href='http://del.icio.us/post?v=4;url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+';title='+encodeURIComponent(document.title)
